Belle Brezing Room is a spacious bedroom filled with amenities including a king-sized sleigh bed, an over-stuffed loveseat, cherry furnishings, cable TV, ceiling fan, AC/heating controls, Internet access, standard bath, and prints of Monet's Water Gardens.
The view from the bedroom windows overlooks the beautiful Lyndon House garden and historic homes of Fayette Park. The bathroom has all the charm of the Victorian period, with modern amenities including a shower and tub combination.

The room is named after Belle Brezing, one of Lexington's most infamous female entrepreneurs of the 19th-century. |
Belle was a powerful Madam, successful in combining the sophistication of Victorian culture with the nitty-gritty aspect of running a business. |
As one story goes, she got in trouble with the city over some kind of zoning issue, but after a visit to the Governor's mansion, the issue was quickly resolved. |
TRAVEL TIP: Historic preservation has saved many of Lexington’s fine old buildings. Belle Brezing once worked in a “bawdy house” operating in the building where Mary Todd Lincoln was raised, that is still located at 578 W. Main St. in Lexington.
